I know a lot of film enthusiasts are wary of what are often called actors' vanity projects and it is true, George Clooney acts, directs and produces on Leatherheads. However, this is a well-made, handsome piece of work. It's an amusing, pleasant movie that doesn't drag anywhere. I'm not a fan of Clooney's film roles generally.
