I was glad to find this series on DVD. I remember watching it when I was a kid, and I loved Boomer The Dog! The quality is pretty good for the show being the age it is. Most of the episodes looked and sounded good on this set. A few minor imperfections in the picture just here and there. It's nice they finally put this show out on DVD.

Great cast, great music, and some genuinely funny moments. I just wish there, was a bit less emphasis on the cliche old folks jokes. Overall, however, the series is fun and has moments of brilliance. The episode with the Thurnmouth choral society was hysterical! And the Christmas special was a hoot. Definitely worth a bit of a binge-watch.
